DAIWA J Braid Expedition x8E is a further development of one of the market's most appreciated braided lines, designed for anglers who demand high standards of durability, feel, and longevity. This is a line we at Outside Travels use on many of our reels, both during tropical fishing trips and for heavy sea fishing at home in the Nordics.

The line is an excellent choice for tropical fishing abroad for strong species such as GT and dogtooth tuna, but works equally well for fishing for cod, saithe, and halibut. The combination of high strength, round profile, and long lifespan makes it a reliable companion during long and demanding fishing days.

Made in Japan from high-quality IZANAS PE fiber with a tight 8-strand braid that provides a smooth and round line. This allows for smooth casts, quiet passage through the rod guides, and maintains its shape even under heavy load.

The Silicon Coating PE technology makes the line water-repellent. It does not absorb water and therefore does not attract sand and particles that otherwise wear down braided lines over time. The result is a longer lifespan and consistent performance even in saltwater.

The multicolor design provides clear control over line payout and depth, which is particularly valuable for jigging and vertical fishing.
