Fishing at Frovåg Senja

During this hosted trip to Frovåg on Senja in July, you will experience a stable and active period for sea fishing in Norway, with a focus on halibut, coalfish, cod, and redfish.

Halibut is one of the main target species during the trip. In the summer, it moves more frequently over shallower areas, making it more accessible for spin fishing and drift fishing. You will have good opportunities to fish for halibut in Norway with the right technique and guidance from the tour leader.

Coalfish fishing is often at its most intense during this period. Large shoals hunt around shallow peaks and drop-offs, which can lead to rapid bites and fast-paced fishing. This is one of the highlights of the week.

Cod are consistently present in the area and provide steady fishing, although the focus in summer is often more on coalfish and halibut than on really large cod.

For variation, there is also an opportunity to fish deeper for redfish, offering a calmer and more tactical fishing experience that breaks up the more active sessions.

The combination of fishing for halibut, coalfish, cod, and redfish makes this fishing trip to Norway varied and suitable for those who want many bites and those who want to target larger fish.

In short, July is a very good period for sea fishing on Senja, where you get a nice balance between activity, variety, and a chance at dream fish.

Coalfish fishing is often intense in July. Large shoals of coalfish gather around shallow peaks and can provide truly fast-paced fishing. At the same time, cod are stable in the area, providing consistent and reliable cod fishing throughout the week.

For those who want to broaden their fishing, there is also the opportunity to target redfish in deeper waters. The combination of fishing for halibut, coalfish, cod, and redfish makes this fishing trip to Norway both varied and developmental.

In addition to the main species, there is also a chance for species such as monkfish, ling, pollack, haddock, wolfish, and tusk, making every day at sea exciting.

Boathouses by the water

During your hosted trip, you will stay together in lakeside cabins right by the water. Here, the group will be divided to create a smooth and social living arrangement close to the fishing.

The lakeside cabins are 70 m² and are perfect for group fishing trips. Each cabin can accommodate up to seven people, distributed among three bedrooms. There is a spacious living room where you can gather after a day of fishing, as well as a fully equipped kitchen for shared meals.

The accommodation is equipped with two toilets, a shower, Wi-Fi, and a TV, providing a comfortable base throughout the week.

Immediately adjacent to the lakeside cabins are practical areas with private freezers, drying cabinets, and ample space for clothes and fishing equipment.

Food & drink at Frovåg
