Is the trip suitable for someone new to fly fishing like me?
Yes. This hosted trip is suitable for both fly fishing beginners and experienced anglers looking to develop further.
With Sivan Jansson, support is close at hand throughout the trip, both by the water and before departure. Before the trip, the group meets in Gothenburg or digitally to go through equipment, technique, and practical information, so that you can feel secure already when you land in Bosnia.
The smaller group and the open, helpful atmosphere ensure that all levels are welcome.

If you have your own fly-fishing equipment, that's excellent. If you're missing parts or want to try before you invest, you can rent equipment from us upon request.
Before the trip, you will also receive recommendations regarding rods, lines, and flies suitable for fishing grayling, trout, and rainbow trout in Bosnia's rivers.
Which flies and lines work best for fly fishing in Bosnia?
Which flies and lines work best for fly fishing in Bosnia?
Classic dry flies, small nymphs, and lighter streamers often work very well in Bosnia's clear rivers. Since the fishing is often visual and technical, light leaders and a soft presentation make a big difference.
Before the trip, you will receive a detailed equipment list with recommendations for flies, lines, and other equipment suitable for grayling, trout, and rainbow trout fishing in Bosnia.

What fish species can I expect to catch?
What fish species can I expect to catch?
Trout, grayling, and rainbow trout are the focus of fishing in Bosnia. The rivers are known for their healthy stocks, and grayling over 50 centimeters are not uncommon. When conditions are right, there is also a good chance of catching larger trout and rainbow trout, especially in waters like Ribnik, Pliva, Sana, and Una.
