Jigging is for anglers who like a real fight. The jig drops along deep ledges, the bite comes far below the boat, and then it’s you against the fish, often a dogtooth tuna with no intention of coming up.

Rodrigues and Hawkins Bank are the trips for anglers who mainly want to jig. In the Maldives, Seychelles, Madagascar, the Andaman Islands, Oman and Komodo, jigging is combined with popping, so you can switch between the depths and the surface in a single day.

När är bästa tiden för en jiggingresa?

Rodrigues fiskar vi året runt, med högsäsong ungefär november till maj. Andamanerna går oktober till maj, Oman september till december och mars till april och Komodo april till oktober.

Var fiskar man dogtooth tuna med jigg?

På Rodrigues, med tung jigging på Hawkins Bank. Dogtooth tuna fångas också på Andamanerna och vid Komodo.

Vilken utrustning behövs för jigging?
