Daiwa Saltiga SK Jig 110g Zebra Glow

The Daiwa Saltiga SK Jig is a versatile and extremely effective jig designed according to Japanese jigging principles. This is one of our favorites at Outside Travels and a lure we frequently use on our fishing trips abroad when we want to cover the entire water column and trigger strikes from strong predatory fish.

This 110g variant is a slightly lighter size, making it particularly useful for fishing in shallower waters, in weaker currents, or when fish are cautious and require a more suspending presentation. The longer fall phase makes the jig extra effective when strikes occur on the drop, which is often crucial in slow jigging.

The jig was originally developed for slow jigging but also works very well as a speed jig. The well-balanced body ensures the jig maintains stability even with faster retrieves and delivers clear kicks and thumps through the water. Perfect when you want to vary the tempo or quickly cover larger areas.

During the fall phase, the Saltiga SK Jig moves with rotation, flutter, and glide, imitating a wounded baitfish. Despite its lower weight, the jig effectively descends through the water column without drifting away and behaves like a classic slow jig with butterfly action, especially during vertical movements and in the drop phase.

When the jig reaches the bottom or desired depth, simply starting to reel is enough for it to come alive and work aggressively through the entire water column. Its erratic movement is often what triggers even cautious fish to strike.

The Saltiga SK Jig in 110g is a very effective choice for tropical fishing for species such as GT, amberjack, and dogtooth tuna when lighter tackle is used, but it also works excellently for lighter and medium-heavy deep-sea fishing for cod and saithe.

The Zebra Glow color provides high visibility and a clear silhouette in deeper waters and in low light conditions. The glow effect makes the jig extra effective when fish are deep or when light is limited.
