A fishing trip to Norway often starts early in the morning when you step out to the boat and are met by calm waters and fresh sea air. Together with your tour leader from Mieko Fishing, you plan the day, choose the right equipment, and set course for the day's fishing spots. Throughout the day, active fishing is interspersed with tips, laughter, and camaraderie in the boat.

As evening approaches, you return to the camp, summarize the day's experiences, and enjoy a delicious dinner with the group. Each day offers new chances, new locations, and the opportunity to catch your dream fish.     Before the trip, we and Mieko invite you to a preparation day (digitally or on-site in Gothenburg or Sundborn), where we go through everything you need to know to get the most out of your fishing trip to Norway.

    We talk about fishing, equipment, safety, and practical details regarding accommodation, boats, and the trip in general. You will also get tips on bait choice, clothing, and clever tricks that can make fishing even more enjoyable.

    You'll fly to Bardufoss, where you'll be picked up and driven directly to the camp. Once there, you'll have time to settle into your accommodation, check your equipment, and prepare for fishing.

    The evening offers a joint gathering where you'll meet the tour leader and the other participants. It's a perfect opportunity to get to know each other, go over the plans for the week, and get excited about the fishing that awaits!

Fishing in Frovåg, Senja

During this hosted trip to Frovåg on Senja in July, you will experience a stable and active period for sea fishing in Norway, focusing on halibut, coalfish, cod, and redfish.

Halibut is one of the main target species during the trip. In summer, it often moves into shallower areas, making it more accessible for spin fishing and drift fishing. You will have good opportunities to fish for halibut in Norway with the right techniques and guidance from the tour leader.

Boathouse by the water

During your hosted trip, you will stay together in lakeside cabins right by the water. Here, the group is divided to create comfortable and social accommodation close to the fishing.

The lakeside cabins are 70 m² and are perfect for group fishing trips. Each cabin can accommodate up to seven people, distributed among three bedrooms. There is a spacious living room where you can gather after a day of fishing, and a fully equipped kitchen for communal meals.

The accommodation is equipped with two toilets, a shower, Wi-Fi, and a TV, providing a comfortable base for the entire week.

Immediately adjacent to the lakeside cabins are practical areas with private freezers, drying cabinets, and plenty of space for clothes and fishing gear.

Hur fiskar man efter hälleflundra i Norge?

Hur är vädret på Senja under sommaren?

Under sommaren ligger temperaturen vanligtvis mellan 8 och 18 grader, men varmare dagar förekommer. Vädret kan växla snabbt, därför rekommenderar vi lager på lager och vattentäta kläder. Frovågs skyddade läge gör att det ofta går att hitta bra fiske även när vädret är mer utmanande.
