Before departure, Outside Travels and Mieko Fishing invite all participants to a joint preparation day. The meeting will be held digitally or in person in Gothenburg.
The purpose is to give you the best possible conditions for the week in Northern Norway. We will cover everything from equipment and bait selection to safety, boat handling, and how fishing is conducted.

You'll fly to Bardufoss, where you'll be picked up and driven directly to the camp. Once there, you'll have time to settle into your accommodation, check your equipment, and prepare for fishing.
The evening offers a joint gathering where you'll meet the tour leader and the other participants. It's a perfect opportunity to get to know each other, go over the plans for the week, and get excited about the fishing that awaits!

At Frovåg on Senja, there's a chance to catch halibut, cod, saithe, and catfish, and with the right equipment, your chances of success increase. During this fishing trip, the tour guide will help you adapt both your technique and bait selection to the conditions of the day.
For halibut, jigs and baitfish are often used, while cod and saithe are effectively fished with jigs, shads, and metal jigs. For catfish, natural baits such as mackerel and squid work very well.
