Daiwa Saltiga SK Jig 110g Sardine

Daiwa Saltiga SK Jig is a versatile and extremely effective jig designed according to Japanese jigging principles. This is one of our favorites at Outside Travels and a lure we frequently use on our fishing trips abroad when we want to cover the entire water column and trigger bites from strong predatory fish.

This 110 g variant is a slightly lighter size, making it particularly useful when fishing shallower waters, in weaker currents, or when fish are cautious and prefer a more suspended presentation. The lighter weight provides a longer and more lively sink phase, which can often be crucial when bites occur on the drop.

The jig was originally developed for slow jigging but also works very well as a speed jig. Its well-balanced body ensures that the jig maintains stability even during faster retrieves and delivers clear kicks and strikes through the water. Perfect when fish prefer more tempo or when you need to quickly cover larger areas.

During the sinking phase, the Saltiga SK Jig moves with rotation, flutter, and glide, imitating an injured baitfish. Despite its lighter weight, the jig effectively descends through the water column without losing control and behaves like a classic slow jig with a butterfly action, especially during vertical movements and on the drop.

When the jig reaches the bottom or the desired depth, simply start reeling to bring it to life and work aggressively through the entire water column. The erratic movement is often what entices even cautious fish to strike.

The Saltiga SK Jig in 110g is a very effective choice for tropical fishing for species such as GT, amberjack, and dogtooth tuna when lighter tackle is used, but it also works excellently for lighter and medium-heavy deep-sea fishing for cod and saithe.

The Glow Pink color provides high visibility and a clear silhouette in deeper waters and in low light conditions. The glow effect makes the jig extra effective when fish are deep or when light is limited.

The jig comes rigged with a double assist hook on strong braided line, equipped with VMC 7264 hooks, ready to fish directly.
