Daiwa Saltist Hyper SJ 62-3 Overhead
Daiwa Saltist Hyper SJ 62-3 Overhead is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The Daiwa Saltist Hyper SJ 62-3 Overhead is a specially developed slow jigging rod for those who want maximum control, feel, and power in vertical fishing. With the increasing popularity of slow jigging, Daiwa has created the Saltist Hyper series for anglers who demand precision and responsiveness in every movement.
The rod is built with HVF graphite, which provides high strength and improved sensitivity without unnecessary weight. Together with the advanced X45 Full Shield technology, blank twisting under load is minimized. Less twist results in better jig rhythm, more stable action, and more direct contact with the lure, which is crucial in slow jigging where every movement counts.
The 6’2’’ blank is designed for optimal action in vertical jigging. The length provides the right balance between lifting power and control, making the rod perfect for both tropical fishing trips and deeper sea fishing, for example, in Norway.
The Saltist Hyper SJ is equipped with a Fuji reel seat and Fuji stainless steel O-ring guides, ensuring secure reel mounting and smooth line flow even under high load. The split EVA handle provides good grip and comfort during long jigging sessions.
The 62-3 model is rated for PE 3 and handles jigs between 120 and 300 grams, making it very versatile for species such as coalfish, cod, and halibut, as well as tropical species where controlled presentation is crucial.
We at Outside Travels recommend this rod for anglers who want a modern slow jigging rod with high sensitivity and a stable backbone when it truly matters.
