There’s nothing quite like a GT hitting a popper. You see the water boiling behind the lure, hear the splash, and feel the fish head straight for the reef. Once you’ve tried it, it’s hard to stop.

We offer popping trips in the Maldives, Seychelles, Madagascar, the Andaman Islands, Oman, and around Komodo. Almost all of them combine popping with jigging in deeper waters. In Costa Rica, you can fish for roosterfish with poppers in Drake Bay.

När är bästa tiden för en poppingresa?

Maldiverna fiskar vi september till april, Andamanerna oktober till maj, Oman hösten och våren, Madagaskar mars till juni och september till början av december och Komodo april till oktober. Det finns alltså en bra poppingresa nästan hela året.

Vad är popping?

Ytfiske med popper och stickbait, oftast efter GT. Betet kastas mot rev och strömmar och dras in så att det plaskar i ytan.

Vilken utrustning behövs för popping?

Ett kraftigt poppingspö, en stor haspelrulle, grov flätlina och tafs. Vi har packlistor och prylguider under Artiklar & guider, och utrustningen vi själva använder längre ner på sidan.

Kan man kombinera popping och jigging?

Ja, på de flesta av våra poppingresor fiskar du också jigg på djupare vatten.
