This trip has already taken place, but it's one of those weeks you love to look back on.
From January to February 2025, we traveled to the Maldives with Emelie Björkman as our tour leader. The focus was on fly fishing on the flats, where the days were filled with sight fishing for bonefish, GTs, and other tropical species.
It's a special type of fishing where much is about reading the water and making quick decisions. You see the fish, make the cast, and hope everything aligns at the right moment. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't, and that's precisely what makes it so much fun.
Having Emelie with us during the week made a big difference. She was there all the time, both out on the water and on land, helping with everything from casting to how to think in different situations. Small details that often do more than you think.
The trip wasn't just about fishing either. A great group quickly formed, where everyone shared the same interest. Lots of chatting in the evenings, reviewing the day, and getting pumped for the next session.
