This trip has already taken place, but it's one of those weeks you gladly look back on.
From January to February 2025, we traveled to the Maldives with Emelie Björkman as our tour leader. The focus was on fly fishing on the flats, where the days were filled with sight fishing for bonefish, GT, and other tropical species.
It's a special type of fishing where much depends on reading the water and making quick decisions. You see the fish, make the cast, and hope everything aligns at the right moment. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't, and that's precisely what makes it so fun.
Having Emelie with us during the week made a big difference. She was there the entire time, both out on the water and on land, helping with everything from casting to how to think in different situations. Small details that often make more of a difference than you might think.
The trip wasn't just about fishing, either. It quickly became a great group where everyone shared the same interest. Lots of talk in the evenings, reviewing the day and building excitement for the next session.
